Three great books. Elizabeth Boyle knows how to tell a story to keep your interest in finding out what will happen next. It was very difficult to put down this book, and I was anxious to start the next book as soon as I finished one. The women were all very strong, feisty beautiful characters, and of course the men were handsome, debonair gentlemen. The plots were very intriguing, suspenseful, and full of romance. I like a series as a set. I don't like to buy a book and get to the end and surprise realize there are more books to follow. I found the books to be interesting. I knew when I finished the one, I had two more to read.
The first book starts with the oldest sister the next two are her younger siblings. All three sibling like adventure.
These are easy to read and light.
The series was mostly pretty good although it did bog down in a place or two in the exchange of conversation. Elizabeth Boyle is one of my favorite authors. I like series anyway.
I personally don't like the books that take place mostly in France though.
Although these books were not my cup of tea, they were written and the story line easy to follow. The author drew the reader in and allow us to experience the many emotions of her characters. The stories had intrigue, adventure, espionage, betrayal, riveting, and romance.
The Brazen Series, read the series in about 7 days, enjoyed every book read early and late. Written well, easy to read and not too many characters to keep up with, even better when read in order. Hope you enjoy
I have drifted away from the historical romance but Elizabeth Boyle was one of my favorites. I found this series and decided to give it a read. It was fantastic and she is as superb as ever. A Must Read!
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, they kept my attention, I was able to relate to the characters and overall I really enjoyed the books. But when it came to the third book it took a bit more effort to get through. For me, it wasn't very believeable so that made it much harder to relate to. It's so different from the first two books in the setting that it made me wonder what the author was thinking. I stuck with it though and it got a little better towards the end. With the first two books so good, I held hope the third book would work itself out along the way and I think it did at least to a small degree.
